Sacramento County Women’s Championship

The 56^th Sacramento County Women’s Championship will be contested at Mather Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26, 2026.

The Championship Flight contestants must have an index of 6.6 or less and will play at scratch from the Navigator (silver) tees at about 5,550 yards.

The Handicap Division will award a Low Net Winner and Net prizes.

The Senior Championship Flight, will award the Low Gross Winner, Top Finishers, and a Low Net Winner. This flight will need a minimum of 8 players for points. Otherwise, players will need to choose to play in the Championship or Handicap Division. If this happens, a Low Gross winner will be awarded in the Handicap Division.

The amount and number of awards (Mather gift cards) will be based on the number of participants.  The Senior Flight will consist of all those participants, age 50 and up.  The Handicap Division, including the Senior Flight, will play from the Mustang (purple) Tees at about 5,200 yards.

The winner of the Championship division will be named the 2026 Sacramento County Women’s Champion, and her name will be inscribed on a perpetual trophy. The gross winner of the Senior Flight will be named the 2026 Sacramento County Senior Women's Champion, and her name will be inscribed on a new perpetual trophy. The Low Net winner in the Handicap Division will be named the 2026 Sacramento County Women’s Handicap Champion and her name will be inscribed on a perpetual trophy.

A tie for the Championship Division, the Senior division and Low Net in the Handicap division will be resolved with a playoff. All other ties will be decided based on the USGA recommended method of matching score cards.

The entry fee is $175 and includes green fees, range balls and all awards (cart fees are not included). The tournament format will be stroke-play over 36 holes - 18 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Tee times will begin at 8:06 am on Saturday and 7:34 am on Sunday.

The entry deadline is July 11, 2026, and there will be no refunds after that date. There will be a $10 cancelation fee for withdrawals prior to the entry deadline and a $25 service charge on all returned checks.
