2019 County Women’s
The Sacramento County Women’s Championship was contested at Mather Golf Course on July 23rd and 24th. The weather was great both days, although a bit warmer on Sunday. Twenty-six players participated.
Elizabeth Scholtes captured the championship with a two-day total of six under par 138 – highlighted by a 66 on Sunday (six birdies, no bogeys). Elizabeth is from Alameda High School and just completed her freshman year at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. There was a tie for second place with scores of 141 between Karen Garcia, the 2015 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Champion from Cool, CA, and Lexi Perry, the defending County Women’s Champion who graduated from Oakridge High School and just finished her sophomore year at Boise State University. Rounding out the top four with a score of 142 was Zoe Offield from Tokay HS in Stockton and who just finished her freshman year at CSU, Monterey Bay. Complete results can be viewed online at:
