The 71st annual City Junior Easter Golf Championship will be contested at Bing Maloney Golf Course on March 30 and 31, 2021 (Tuesday and Wednesday).
This tournament is open to all junior golfers, who are ready for tournament golf, between the ages of 7 to 18 – after graduating from High School, 18 year olds are eligible through August 31, or until they begin attending college, whichever comes first.
The entry fee for ages 12-18 is $73. The entry fee for ages 7-11 is $47. The entry fee includes green fees, range balls and awards for both days.
Be sure to check your school schedule to avoid withdrawals because of school conflicts.
The tournament format is as follows: Juniors ages 12 to 18 will play 18 holes medal play each day on the Bing Maloney 18-hole golf course with tee times starting at 8:03 a.m. both days. Juniors ages 7-11 will play 9 holes medal play each day on the Bing Maloney Express Nine golf course with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. -- starting times will be assigned by the tournament director. Ties for overall champion will be broken by a playoff. Ties for 1st place in age groups will be broken by a playoff if time and golf course permits. All other ties will be broken according to USGA Rule App. I-Part C. COVID-19 safety protocols may change the playoff procedure.
The overall champions will come from the boys age 14-18 and girls age 14-18. Additional awards will be distributed to all age group flight winners. If COVID-19 safety protocols permit, presentation of awards will take place immediately following the conclusion of the tournament on Wednesday, March 31 at the score board area. All winners must be present to accept their awards. If COVID-19 protocols are still in effect, all awards will be mailed.
