California State Fair Junior

The 2026 California State Fair Junior Championship for boys and girls ages 7-18 will be contested at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This is a JGANC points event. Players age 18 may participate if they have not started college prior to August 29, 2026.

The tournament will be 18 holes of stroke play for ages 12-18 with tee times starting at 7:00am on the Alister MacKenzie Course. Ages 7-11 will play 9 holes of stroke play with tee times starting at 7:00am on the Arcade Creek Course.

There will be an award for the overall boys champion - the low score from the 14-15 and 16-18 divisions - and overall girls champion – the low score from the 14-15 and 16-18 divisions. The overall champions will have their names inscribed on perpetual trophies. A tie for the overall boys and/or girls champions will be decided with a sudden death playoff. Awards for first, second and third place will also be presented in each age division (16-18 girls and boys, 14-15 girls and boys, 12-13 girls and boys, 10-11 girls and boys, 7-9 girls and boys). Any ties in these divisions will be broken in accordance with the USGA method of matching scorecards.

The overall boys champion, from the 14-18 age groups, will receive an Exemption to play in the prestigious California State Fair Championship on Labor Day Weekend.

The entry fee is $95 for ages 12 to 18 and $65 for ages 7-11, and includes green fees, range balls, tee prize and awards.

Non-JGANC members must register with a paper entry form available linked below. Ages 7-11 will be accommodated up to the entry deadline. However, per JGANC’s policy, non-JGANC members ages 12-18 will only be accommodated if space is available AFTER the August 15th entry deadline for JGANC members.
