2021 State Fair Senior

The 25th annual State Fair Senior and the 12th annual State Fair Super Senior were held at Mather Golf Course Saturday and Sunday, September 4th and 5th. The field was very strong with many prior winners as well as top senior and super senior players from all over Northern California.

SUPER SENIOR DIVISION

Jeff Burda (pictured) won the Super Senior Division, making this his third in a row, shooting 68–65. (In addition to his Super Senior titles, he has won 3 Senior Division titles as well.) Joey Ferrari came in 2nd (69–66) and Chuck Richesin came in 3rd (72–67).

Within the Super Senior division there was a Legends flight for those players 75 years and older. Mike Davis, 2012 Super Senior Champion, won the flight with a 77-75; and Vic Shellenberg came in 2nd with 77-76. (Ron Johnson was also eligible for this flight but came in 5th in the Super Senior Division 70-71.)

SENIOR DIVISION

After a first round 75, John Jaramillo, 2018 State Fair Senior Champion, shot a 65 on day 2, winning the Senior division by 3 strokes. Mark Morgan (72–72) and Tony Ralph (71–72) tied for 2nd.
