Vaccaro, Foreman & Cook win at Sacramento Valley Senior

The 4th Annual Sacramento Valley Senior Amateur (SVSA) was conducted at the Alister MacKenzie GC @ Haggin Oaks hosted by the Sacramento Golf Council and the Haggin Oaks Team. Full leaderboard can be viewed on GolfGenius.

Anthony Vaccaro (Fairfax) won the Senior Championship – 141 (-3).
Anthony came from behind and was easily the most consistent player throughout the 2nd round. With 5 players at 2 under late in the 2nd round, Anthony birdied #16 to move to 3 under, while others made bogey. Anthony won by one shot over Michael Staskus (Los Altos), Jeff Weiss (Roseville), Bob Johnson (Vacaville) & Chris Miller (Brentwood).

Terry Foreman (Brentwood) won the Super Senior Championship – 137 (-7).
Terry led the Championship the entire 2nd round. Holding a 2-stroke lead on the front nine, Terry birdied #16 & #17 to win by four strokes. Finishing in a tie for second at 3 under par were Jeff Burda (Modesto), Jim Williams (Orinda) & Ralph Costanzo (Millbrae).

Bob Cook (Antelope) won the Legends Championship – 140 (-4)
Bob birdied #10, #12, #13 & #18 on Round #2 to pull away from the field. The Legends Championship had 12 players, but 8 of the 12 were very competitive and could have won the Championship. The Legends Championship continues to amaze me, as these over 75 year old golfers continue to shoot around par. Herb Jensen (Carmichael) finished second at 2 under par. Robbie Thompson finished third at 1 under par.
