2023 County Senior Four-Ball

The 2nd Sacramento County Senior 4-Ball Championship was contested at Mather Golf Course on October 27-29, 2023.

Sixteen teams competed in the qualifying round on Friday, October 27th to advance to match play with an 8-team bracket. Match play began on Saturday morning, October 28th, followed by semifinal matches on Saturday afternoon. The teams of Joey Ferrari (2023 Sacramento Super Senior Player of the Year) & Terry Foreman, and Dave Bates & Mike Steiler advanced to the final round on Sunday morning, October 29th.

Ferrari & Foreman took an early 2-up lead and never relinquished the lead. They closed out the match on the 17th hole, 2 & 1. Complete results can be viewed HERE

Many thanks to the Mather staff for their support, particularly TD Thomas Wary and GM Lance Fong. The course was in excellent condition, particularly the greens. There were many positive comments from the players about the conditions.
