2023 City Junior/Senior

The 75th annual Walter & Olga Strand Junior/Senior Chapman Scotch City Championship was played at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

The weather was perfect, the pace of play was 4 hours and 40 minutes.

Father and Daughter Daven and Kate Phelan (pictured above) were the Champs shooting 66, net 61.5. They are the 2023 Champs – Congratulations!

One unusual highlight of the day was an Albatross — yes a rare double eagle — a 2 on the par-5 11th hole. A young Jayden Jew holed out Dennis Mitchel’s drive with a 5 iron. Wow! They went on to take second place in the Callaway Division.
