State Fair Junior Championship Crowns 2026 Winners at Haggin Oaks

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The State Fair Junior Championship for boys and girls ages 7–18 was
held Saturday, August 26, at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. Players ages 12–18 competed on the
Alister MacKenzie 18-hole course, while the 7–11 division played nine holes on Arcade Creek.

In the Boys 14–18 division, Kees Hoogendyk captured the overall title with a 68 score in the
boys 16-18 division.

In the Girls 14–18 division, Melody Chen won the overall championship from the 14-15
division.

Other division highlights included:
• Boys 16–18: Winner – Amani Asghar scored 70.
• Girls 16–18: Winner – Khloe Chao scored 73.
• Boys 14–15: Winner – Ricky Soe scored 71.
• Girls 14–15: Winner – Elise Lim scored 74.
• Boys 12–13: Winner –Rishan Dey scored 71.
• Girls 12–13: Winner – Zoe Yu scored 73.
• Boys 10–11: Winner – Joseph Alastair scored 38, winning in a play-off against Carter Cedillo.
• Girls 10–11: Winner – Livy Woodward scored 37.
• Boys 7–9: Winner – Chung-Kuang Chang scored 36.
• Girls 7–9: Winner –Olivia Villajoaquin scored 37

The tournament was hosted by the Sacramento Golf Council under the direction of Council
President and Tournament Chairman Mark Perry.
