Council Bio – Vi McNally

Vi McNally Bio

Vi McNally is a member of Bing Maloney Friday Women’s Club. The club was established the year Bing opened in 1952. She served as Captain for three years during the time the club rejuvenated itself. She is also a member of the Bartley Cavanaugh Women’s Club, and a former member of clubs at Teal Bend and Ancil Hoffman.

She is retired from nearly 30 years in public relations, receiving the Sacramento Public Relations Club “Professional of the Award”, and their “Lifetime Achievement Award”. She has served clients from retail to special events, directing a variety of accounts including the University of California Transplant Bank, American River Hospital, Eskaton, the Beverly Garland Hotel, Weight Watchers, Sacramento Rideshare, Street of Dreams, PG&E, and Paradyme Audio/Visual, to name a few.

Her volunteer community service includes The Eskaton Foundation, Junior League, Sacramento Symphony League, Crocker Art Gallery Association, Stanford Home Foundation, Sacramento Children’s Home, Golden State Regional Organ Procurement Agency, the Child and Family Institute, Pioneer Congregational Church, the Crisis Nurseries and was a founding member of the Child Abuse Services Council.

Both she and her husband graduated from the University of Illinois. He graduated from Hastings Law School and retired from the Attorney General’s office. They have three children and five grandchildren.

She expressed her admiration for the Sacramento Golf Council by saying, “This Council of volunteers is the only one in California that serves every city and county golf tournament every year. They sincerely work to provide golfers of all ages a professional and enjoyable golf tournament. I am pleased to be associated.”
