Sean Wong Bio
Sean, a Sacramento native who grew up in South Land Park, was appointed to the council in 1997. Sean was inspired to direct golf tournaments watching his dad, Chuck, smoothly direct many tournaments in the 1970s and 80s for the Sacramento Chinese GC. Sean has directed several of the council’s tournaments and currently serves as the tournament director for the Sacramento City Women’s and California State Fair Men’s Mid Amateur tournaments.
Sean has a BA in Political Science from UCLA, and a JD from Pacific McGeorge. He is a retired federal attorney and is married to his lovely wife Nancy, also a retired attorney, and has two adult children, Riley, who works for the State of California, and Alice, who teaches middle school at Leonardo Da Vinci. In his retirement, Sean coaches both basketball and, of course, golf at Christian Brothers HS with his son Riley.
