Peggy Chan Bio

Peggy is an avid golfer and fan of the sport. She first started golfing with her coworkers at the State Department of Finance. After 35 years with the State, Peggy retired in 2011 and was recruited to join the Sacramento Golf Council in 2018. She is currently the Tournament Director for the Sacramento City Mixed Championship at Bing Maloney. This is one of the few tournaments the Golf Council offers for coed teams which is a fun opportunity for couples, family members, neighbors, including juniors to compete in.

Peggy lives 15 minutes away from Bing Maloney and Bartley Cavanaugh golf courses and belongs to the women’s leagues at both courses in addition to two coed leagues that play different courses. Peggy was born and raised in Sacramento and has lived in South Sacramento her whole life. Currently lives on Lake Greenhaven with her husband, David, and enjoys the peacefulness and amazing sunrises. Peggy and David enjoy fishing on the lake (catch and release) and cruising around on their pontoon. They enjoy traveling, sometimes with their golf clubs. They have 2 granddaughters that live nearby and enjoy exposing
them to new adventures.

Her side gig is a business she calls “Pegcasso Creations.” She sews golf cart blankets, designed caddy grab bags and other items.
