Larry Glasmire Bio
Larry has been an avid golfer for over 50 years, having taken up the sport shortly after earning a BS in Accounting from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1970. After a distinguished 34-year career at Sacramento State University, Larry retired in 2009.
In 2010, Larry joined the Sacramento Golf Council to remain active in his community and contribute to the sport he loves. Since then, he has directed several tournaments, including the State Fair Junior Boys Championship, the Sacramento County Women’s Championship, the Sacramento County Men’s Championship, and the Sacramento County 4-Ball Championship. Larry currently serves as the Director of the State Fair Championship.
In addition to his tournament responsibilities, Larry manages the Council’s database, acts as a liaison with the webmaster, communicates with players about upcoming events, serves on the finance committee, and provides technical support to tournament directors with Golf Genius tournament management software.
Outside of golf, Larry enjoys traveling and spending time with his grandchildren in Portland, Oregon, alongside his wife of over 50 years.
