Janice Luis Bio
Janice joined the Sacramento Golf Council in 2006. She was recruited by Peggy Dodds to volunteer at SGC Jr. Tournaments. After several years of volunteering, Peggy encouraged her to apply to become a SGC member. Peggy and Jeanne Cassella mentored her for one year. In 2008, Janice became the tournament director for the Sacramento City Junior Easter Championship. Janice is still the TD for the Jr. Easter Championship. She enjoys watching the Juniors develop their golf skills and seeing their accomplishments in golf and life.
Janice also enjoys volunteering at SGC adult golf tournaments. She is especially proud to see former and present Junior players excel in the adult golf tournaments. The Junior players definitely have a special place in her heart!
Janice served as SGC President in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She looks forward to continuing her work with the SGC and striving to always improve SGC golf tournaments.
