Bakovic and Medlock win Boys Championship; Lee and Xu win Girls in First Sacramento City Junior

The first Sacramento City Junior Golf Tournament for boys and girls ages 7-11 was played at the 9-hole William Land Park golf course, Saturday and Sunday, October 4-5.
Boys 10-11 Champion is Duke Bakovic, Roseville, with a score of 33-39-72; second place Andy Wang, Newmark, score 35-38-73 and third place was a tie of 76 between Jase Jackson, Novato, scoring 38-38-76, and Oliver Her, Sacramento, scoring 39-37-76, with the winning card-off going to Her for the second day score.
Boys 7-9 Champion is Braxton Medlock, Walnut Creek, with a score of 36-36-72; second place Sebastian Shea, Granite Bay, 39-37-76; and third place Stanford Gilmore, Elk Grove, 40-38-78.
Girls 10-11 Champion is Brooke Lee, Los Altos, with a score of 38-33-71; second place Lena Napper, Elk Grove, score 42-40-82; third place Savannah Mitchell, Rancho Cordova, 43-40-83.
Girls 7-9 Champion is Bailee Xu with a score of 39-38-77.
Sacramento Golf Council (SGC) volunteer tournament director was Tom Bacon. The SGC sponsors all city and county golf tournaments.
