2015 State Fair Masters

2015 State Fair Masters

13th State Fair Masters Championship at Bing Maloney
After blowing the field away winning by 10 strokes last year with a tournament record 20 under par, Ryan Sloane successfully defended his title this time in a nail biter, shooting the low round of the day with a 4 under 68, good enough for a one shot victory over Chris Johnson of Rancho Cordova and Jay Weiss of San Jose.

Ryan cleaned up with his final round 68, winning a $500 Morton Golf gift certificate for the championship, a $50 gift certificate for the low final round score and free entry into next year’s Masters tournament. Chris Johnson’s 15 foot snaking birdie putt on 18 after a great approach shot from under the left trees won him an extra $100.

Jeff Hoffman of Folsom, three time Masters champion, made a nice run, finished in fourth place.

Our next tournament is the Sacramento County Four Ball directed by Rudy Danzinger next month at Mather GC. You can register for this tournament online at our website at www.sacgolfcouncil.org through the tournaments link.
