Austen Sandoval, Sacramento, scorched the field with a come-from-behind performance on the final day with a 67 to make up 5 shots on the first day leader and win by 1 over Michael Grentz to capture the 49th Annual Sacramento County Men’s Championship at Ancil Hoffman. Austen said that he made birdy on four of the final five holes. – sounds like Mickelson at the Open.

Austen attends high school in Sacramento. Since he is just sixteen, he also competed in the County Junior at Cherry Island this same week, finishing second to the Boys Champion David Laskin.
