2014 City Putting Championship

The City Putting Championship was an event full of surprises. Friday morning I was hoping for a slow start to get my feet wet. Be careful what you wish for! My feet are still wet and it was indeed slow. But as you know, the sun came out Saturday and so did all of our loyal golf fanatics!

Sunday was no exception. 15 seed, Hailey Rietz, defeated defending champion, John Burke, 1 up. Bravo Junior Girls! Patrick Niland defeated Conner Bell for the Junior Title. Congrats Patrick! The Womens’ Final was Angie Dixon defeating Rachel Moreaux. We were very pleased to see Angie back and defending her title. The next big surprise was 15 seed Phillip Sanchez defeating 3 time champion Mark Milligan in the first round. In the final Mens’ tourney it was number 1 seed Michael Angel defeating 14 seed Troy Thomas.
