Sacramento County Men’s Championship

Ancil Hoffman Golf Course July 15,16

The Sacramento County Men’s Championship was held July 15-16 at Ancil Hoffman in Carmichael California. Eighty men played in this year’s event. The weather was hot, the golf course was good, and the greens were great.

Alex Lee came from 4 shots back with a 5 under par 65 to edge out Saturday’s leader Josh Sedeno. He was also the 2016 Champion at this event.

Alex, a sophomore at Fresno State, recently won the Memorial in May, also at Ancil Hoffman.

The “shot of the day” goes to Chris Johnson for draining a 9 iron from 122 yds on #14 for his 5 th ace. He was presented with a dozen prov1x golf balls for his very fine shot.

Many thanks to all of the SGC volunteers, and a special thanks to Ancil Hoffman’s Tournament Director Kevin Cassidy, for making this tournament a success.
