2016 Sacramento County Putting Championship

The inaugural Sacramento County Putting Championship was held at Mather Golf Course. Qualifying was October 21 and 22, and the match play final was October 23. The final day featured many exciting matches that were decided in extra holes.

In the Women's final, Suzanne Fletcher won another championship to go along with her victory in the City Putting earlier this year. Suzanne prevailed over Krista Wylder in 19 holes. Both players raised their games late, trading one-putts on the final three holes.

In the Junior's final, Alex Wong defeated Michael Pearson in 19 holes. The match was nip and tuck with neither player holding a lead of greater than one hole.

In the Men's final, Zack Eversole got the best of Darryl Wong (Alex's father) by a score of 4 and 3. Zack survived a 21 hole quarterfinal nail biter over Stan Curtis prior to his semifinal and finals victories.

Thank you and congratulations to all participants. The weather was great and the Mather green was in tip top shape.
