62nd Sacramento Regional Four-Ball Championship

Bing Maloney Golf Course March 19-27

Forty three teams played the qualifying round on Saturday the 19th, competing for thirty one spots to move onto the first day of match play Sunday..

The defending team of Roberts and Roberts lost on Sunday to the number 31 seed, Bob Levin and Roland Reese on the 19th hole. Bob and Roland made it to the quarter finals before losing to Thomas Crowther and Eric Olsem 6&4 in the lower bracket.

In the upper bracket the team of Tommy Semereaux and Ryan Wilson won all their matches 6&4,5&4,2&1,6&5 and finished by closing out their final match against Crowther and Olsem 4&3.

The players agreed that the course was in perfect condition tee to green. Chris Johnson and Devyn Fitchhorn had a 63 on Saturday, and were the medalists. The score of 70 was the qualifying score needed to move on to match play. We needed 4 teams to complete the 32 needed for Sunday. We had a playoff with 5 teams that shot 71. Ty Peters’ partner left early, leaving Ty to play as a single, and he lost on the first hole.
